Sunday worship, Sept 20
Greetings in the Lord!
Temperatures are dipping, and after much discussion among deacons and worship leaders, we decided to stay outside this Sunday to maximize safety. However, we will try holding worship in the parking lot between the sanctuary and fellowship hall. It will be sunnier, warmer, and quieter. Michael will be able to play the organ, which we all miss. (But the penny whistle and banjo last week were awesome.) And if it is too cold for you, you can stay in your car, or a few people could sit inside by the open windows. The rest of us should bundle up and maybe bring a hot drink!
Otherwise, the same outdoor rules apply: please do not come if you have covid-like symptoms. Please bring a chair and a mask. (You can borrow a chair if you need to.) Please sit safely distanced from others. I encourage you not to stick around chatting too much; instead, invite each other over for a socially-distanced lunch outside! And you can print a copy of the attached bulletin; some printed copies will be available.
If you have any concerns about worshipping in person, please enjoy the live-streaming being provided by GCAM Channel 12. You protect us all when you play it safe, so we give thanks for all the ways we each discern to participate in worship.
These are unsettling times, and I hope that the continuing series on “Finding Your Inner Mystic” will help us all connect with the spiritual center in God that will bear us up amid the troubles. God be with you!
