Worship is online-only for Sunday, December 6
We will have a beautiful, live-streamed service this Sunday at 10:30. With a spike of over 6,000 new cases of covid in Mass on Friday, and with a call by the NIH Director for churches to suspend in-person worship, the deacons and worship leaders decided to choose the safest route. (A brewing snow storm is icing on the cake!)
I give thanks that we’ve been able to enjoy many Sundays together in person (as well as online). Let us take courage that, with our spirits revived, we will persist in whatever way necessary–in person when possible–until the vaccine reduces the risk for good.
Attached is the bulletin for Sunday. You’ll see that our service will feature Diane Percy singing solo, the L’Abbees lighting the advent candles, and Tasondra and Gloria will present the creche visitors. All the beauty of Advent will be on display. My sermon will address our feelings of exile and the Christmas promise of a homecoming.
Please join us on GCAM Channel 12! If you don’t catch the live-stream service (or if the live broadcast encounters technical problems), an edited version will be available soon thereafter.
And please email or text me (773-955-4034) any prayer requests or announcements. Stay safe and cozy during the snow!
